In December 2025, Comet Musicke was selected by the Abbaye aux Dames de Saintes to take part, during a residency, in the creation of a new programme around Marguerite Yourcenar’s Œuvre au Noir, a programme entitled Hic Zeno.
A public performance at the end of the creation process took place: an enchanted audience! Relief and encouragement for us, this creative exercise around a woman of letters being quite new to the ensemble. Among the audience: Jean-François Reboux, journalist at RCF, who afterwards kindly devoted a short programme to us. In his words: “An ensemble that seeks out forgotten composers, unpublished works, and that stages itself, in the literal sense, to bring Renaissance music closer to Marguerite Yourcenar’s Œuvre au Noir…”
